Show me the money!

Wedgwood is in a bad way, there've been closures of several major chains. It's getting a bit worrying. Or rather, its been "getting a bit worrying" for months. It is now officially scary. And when we're scared, we turn to the Government to answer our concerns and deal adeptly with the crisis.

Now, remember Brown with his Keynesian approach? Build our way out of the crisis! Employ more people! I remember hearing that there would be more construction planned, that the plans for newer improved schools would be moved forward. A whole lot of money was set aside to do it. But where is it?

Could it possibly be Brown just spinning? Remember his whole not Flash, just Gordon slogan? I think he's now just Flash, and he's forgotten what Gordon said! He promised the people of Britain that money would be given to ensure that there would be more jobs, better facilities, and training opportunities for apprentices and "unskilled" workers.

Maybe it's on its way. Money does take time to trickle down to the masses, of course. But I'm sure if we said our taxes took a little time to trickle up to the Government, they'd be a tad miffed.

And don't even get me started on the Welsh Assembly Government. The Plaid-Llafur (I like Llafur, it sounds more like "laughable") Coalition seems to be consisted of so many clueless rabbits, caught in the headlights of the economic disaster. They're sitting on money, and they're not doing anything. I think every local authority in Wales should see money from the Welsh Assembly Government. And soon.

Wales has suffered horrible poverty before. Although it suffers it still in many parts, the people won't suffer it on such a massive, nationwide level again (to be honest, nobody in Wales should have to suffer it at all, and wouldn't if it wasn't for the inept bungling of Labour). If the Labour Party wants to keep any of its (supposedly) proud history intact as a party of the working men and women of Wales, it had better stand up and do something.

If not, maybe they can stand down as a Government and let some more talented Assembly members take over.
